Cant get sims 4 to work download from origin to external drive

I recently purchased an external drive. I was hoping to put sims 4 on to it because I had to delete iota my Mac due to no space. I downloaded it start from origin to my external drive but I can't ope...

I had to delete my game because I duding have space. I also tired fooling someone else instruction to get the game to download sims 4 straight from origin

What happens when you download the game? Does it appear on the external drive?
