Cant get sims 4 to work download from origin to external drive

I recently purchased an external drive. I was hoping to put sims 4 on to it because I had to delete iota my Mac due to no space. I downloaded it start from origin to my external drive but I can't ope...

Ok. That shows all the add on packs you have installed. Go back one folder as the Sims 4 Packs folder is in the same installation location as the base game.

Thats the only thing that was installed on my external drive thank you for helping me I forgot to say that in the beginning.

      It just says play and when I click on it opens at the bottom but never open fully

        Click on the white cog under Play and select Repair to try and repair the game.
