I cannot find the electronic arts folder to access mods in Sims 4

Hello, I recently have been interested in trying to add mods to my sims 4 games on my mac, but to no avail. When people tell you to add the game to the mod folder that to get to is documents/electronic arts/sims4/mods, I cannot find the electronic arts folder. I have continuously searched for this, even going so far as to look in the origins folders with the hope that the mod folder would miraculously be there. Does anyone know where else it could be? I have my mods and cc turned on in the game settings, but I just cannot find the electronic arts folder.

Thanks! The Electronic Arts folder is in your Documents folder, you can see the file path in Terminal in your pic 🙂

It will not show up in a Finder/Spotlight search if it is in the Documents folder because it is hidden from search results. No idea why, it’s a real pain. That’s why the Terminal search is definitive.

Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:

find ~ -type d -name "*Electronic Arts*" 2>/dev/null

After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

Ive had the same problem! I did the terminal search as you said and got the same results as this person, but how do I now find it in my documents folder if it doesn't work with spotlight search? Do I just have to scroll through manually?

Yes, navigate to the folder in Finder.

Hi and sorry to bother after a few months. I'm new around and wanna share that recently I have also met the problem that couldn't find the Electronic Arts folder in my Documents. What worked for me was to check my iCloud Drive settings, search for the folder on my Mac, and then just create the folder myself.
Once I had the folder, I created a new one inside and it called "Mods" and placed my mod files there. Then, I enabled mods and CC in my game settings.
After some time I was still having trouble and I updated my mods, removing some of them, and repairing my game.
