Magnifying glass cursor + minimised screen + unable to click on anything

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them except 1. Strangerville 2. Bowling night stuff 3. Moschino stuff pack 4. Movie hangout stuff 5. spooky stuff 6. vintage glamour stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? not sure?
What happens when the bug occurs? I open the game up from my applications and/or origin it loads fine, takes a little longer than usual, it. does the opening credits in full screen and once it hits 'The sims 4" it automatically goes to a smaller screen (yet still in full screen, see picture for clarification) and the cursour is the magnifying glass, and i cannot click on anything. the only way to exit the game is to force quit. I have tried 'Repair game' through origin, ive restarted the computer, updated the game etc etc.
What do you expect to see? not this..
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
