All your user data such as saves, Mods, settings etc. are stored in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Forget EA App (you're not using Origin anymore). EA App is only relevant for the game installation, not the user data. Yes, iCloud may be interfering. If you post a screenshot that would help please. Make sure you take a screenshot of the whole Finder window with the path bar at the bottom of the Finder window clearly visible. See those little cloud icons with the down arrow? That means the files are not on your machine, they are only in the cloud.
