Multiple Touchup permissions in Sys Prefs > Sec & Priv > Files & Folders

I have my game installed on an external drive on one of my Macs (macOS Big Sur 11.5.2). Sometimes, when patching and maybe repairing, I get an OS dialogue window popping up asking whether Touchup can access the external drive. Of course I allow it, it's part of the update process, but I have found this in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Files & Folders:

There are 16 allowed permissions for Touchup altogether. I checked on another Mac (macOS Catalina 10.5.7) that I used to run the game on an external from and there were 10. The game is now installed locally on that machine.

I've noticed that the dialogue window only pops up when the game is stored externally. When locally installed the OS doesn't ask for permission.

I wonder if it is asking for permission when a pack has an update in a patch? Maybe each Touchup is for a pack and because the packs are installed outside of the base game there has to be a permission for each one? I have all packs and kits released up to now installed.

I've just tried to repro with today's patch but I don't think there were any pack updates so no Touchup prompt.

In The Sims 4 Packs > _Installer > DLC there is a folder or each pack and within those folders are the Touchup files:

Further analysis and hypothesising...... There is permission for the base game and Origin in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Files & Folders but there isn't any prompt to allow the Sims 4 Packs folder which is separate to the base game and where the Touchup files are stored. If the Sims 4 Packs folder prompted for permission, there would be no need for the individual Touchup files to prompt.
