New to Sims 4. How to download onto Mac book air.

Hi I haven’t played the sims 4 for a long time due to not having a pc and now I’ve just purchased a new Mac book air (2024). 
I don’t know where to start with the sims or how I even download it onto the MacBook. On the PC I had origin and downloaded it via that so do I have to do that with the MacBook or is it a different set up? 
Also being a newbie to sims again what packs would people recommend as if I remember right the base game is quite average.
