Origin {app & online} and EA website NOT WORKING

I am having issues with loading the Origin app as well as the EA and Origin websites. They don't load, the app just has a spinning circle and never loads.  I have been trying to load The Sims 4 multiple times over the course of the last few weeks and while I can launch the game through applications it will not connect to Origin and therefore says that I do not have any game packs, expansion packs or stuff packs (free or purchased) even though I have purchased many of each. Therefore while I can play the games I am not able to play any of my previous saves as they are missing all of the objects and such from all the packs I own.

I am playing on a MAC and have tried all of the patch workarounds suggested but the problem still remains, I am not able to connect to my origin account and therefore can't actually access anything online and my packs don't load.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • @Bluebellflora  I am having a similar problem. Origin won't launch after I've installed it (it loads and then just stays blank). I've tried to uninstall it, delete folders, troubleshooting, created new account on mac and tried to install origin again and still not working. Would you be able to help me, please? thanks

    Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I am unable to even open those websites. It is not an issue with my browser and I am able to open most other sites with no issue but for some reason EA and Origin will not even open in a browser.  It's odd because some things will load, like this page but other things, mainly under help.ea.com or help.origin.com will not load at all. I've tried on multiple browsers and even tried to load them on my iPhone.

    I have done everything in all of those checklists that I am able to do. I have uninstalled an reinstalled origin, I do not have any proxies, firewall is temp disabled, the origin reset tool will not open, etc.

    I am a bit frustrated because it seems that it is just me, boo!!!!

    @Sherilaine

    It's not just you 🙂 Is Safari your default web browser? If not please change it to be the default by going into System Preferences > General and choosing it from the drop down menu next to Default web browser.

    Next clear just the cache in Safari:

    1. Open Safari and go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced and check the box at the bottom next to Show Develop menu in menu bar.
    2. Close the Preferences window and then click on Develop in the menu bar then Empty Caches

    @Salomecarina

    I've moved your post into this one, please can you try my suggestion about clearing the Safari cache in my post above?
