    Hey guys !

i have a technical question concerning my ssd drives I’m using a 2017 MacBook and I I have two different brands of ssd one the XB500 crucial and the Samsung T7 both of them 1TB and I wanted to know if I can combine them into one to have more storage ( 2TB ) and if so how do I do that ? The crucial has a bit less storage now since i have some documents on it ( now it’s around 793GB) but the Samsung T7 has not been used yet. I read that I can do it but it’s undoable afterwards and frankly I didn’t really understand everything in that article so thought I could ask here!
    thank you 🙂

Ps: also do you recommend doing that or will it slow down its reading and loading performance ?

I don't see how it could be a good thing, or even possible, to do with two different brands, possibly different speeds and connections. You would always need them plugged in and mounted and risk of data corruption, I should imagine, is extremely high. Why do you want to combine them? Can't you simply install and store different files and folders on them? For example, you could have your Photos and Music Libraries stored on one, Origin and games on another.

They say that apparently you increase the storage so that instead of having 1 and 1 you’ll have 2TB on one ssd

But it won’t be one SSD, it would be two. You cannot change the amount of storage available on a single SSD. Do you have a link to where you’ve read this?
