Yes, they are now stored locally. However, it seems like Electronic Arts is a separate folder from Documents now (photo located below). When I click the "separate" Electronic Arts > TS4 > Mods, there's nothing there. However when I go Documents > Electronic Arts > TS4 > Mods, they're there. Although they are located there, all of my CCs and mods were removed from the lists in-game. Along with this, it does not show my previous games - basically seems like I haven't played or done anything, which I have.

Whoops. Picture now attached.
Then, when I click the first folder, Documents > Electronic Arts > TS4 > Mods all of my mods/CC are there (still not in-game, though). However when I click the second folder shown in the picture, Electronic Arts > TS4 > Mods, nothing shows up.

I just tried to move the second Electronic Arts in the photo to Documents, however, it asked if I wanted to replace the existing folder. Should I just delete the copy, or?

The file path MUST be:
Users > [your Mac user account/home folder name]* > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
If it is not exactly that then the game will not see your files and keep recreating a Sims 4 folder in the correct location.
*for example, if your home folder is called Dave then the file path would be Users > Dave > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 - 6 years ago
Not sure exactly what you mean by "Users > Home Folder", I don't see that anywhere. It recreated the Electronic Arts folder, which contains TS4 folder. Do I delete the duplicate folder, since it doesn't have any of my mods/CCs, or?

Apple have loads of really great articles on their website for users who are not familiar with macOS. This page explains the folders set up as default on your Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1143/mac
Why do you have a Documents folder within your Documents folder? Please show me a screenshot of the contents of the Electronic Arts folder. - 6 years ago
I moved my home folder into finder via that link.
Should I move the Documents folder out of my Documents folder? There's also another Documents folder in my Home Folder, which has all my mods/CCs. Attached is a screenshot of the duplicate Electronic Arts folder. Has TS4, and everything else, however nothing in Mods.

It is under the Documents folder (under Favorites). All I do is press Documents and see it. - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+@EthanKFox
As per my previous instructions, please can you copy and paste the entire file path here. - 6 years ago

Perfect. The Sims 4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder in that Documents folder is where the game is loading data from. Make sure your CC is in the Mods folder in that Sims 4 folder. - 6 years ago@Bluebellflora
They're currently not. All of my CC is in the Documents folder next to it. The duplicate doesn't have anything. Should I transfer my CC into the duplicate Electronic Arts folder? - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+@EthanKFox
Yes, into this one:
Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ ethanfox ▸ Documents ▸ Electronic Arts ▸ The Sims 4 ▸ Mods - 6 years ago@Bluebellflora
None of the mods are working, only the custom content such as clothes/hair/etc. I'm assuming this is due to something I did wrong, not sure. - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+
But everything is now in the right location at least.
- Do you have both Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed enabled in the game options?
- Are the Mods you have compatible with the current patch level of the game? You need to check on the creator's site.

I had Enable Custom Content and Mods enabled, however, I did not enable Script Mods. I just enabled it.
The Mods are compatible with the current level of the game. - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+

I was going to check, however, got this notice once I opened my game? Not sure what it means.

The game has been updated, sometimes this automatically disables Mods. You need to reenable them in the game options, after checking that your Mods are compatible with the new patch level. Check with the creators.
