Run from/Save to a hard drive on Mac

I’m on a Macbook air and am trying to save to/play from a hard drive as i dont have enough storage left on my laptop and it wont let me move the files but on my sisters Windows computer she gets the option to move game (where is gets saved and played from) in Origin! Spoke to EA who had no idea what to do and advised me to post on here! PLEASE HELP!!!!
