Saved Games (Families) disappeared

I logged in to play and load the family I have been playing with recently and they are gone nothing in folders or loading for them under the load games.  I tried to look to see if this is a known issue but I am not seeing anything.  I have Mods but the content is just clothes, hair, makeup and I do use the testing cheats on the game but have never had an issue where a whole saved family disappears.  I have tried repair and uninstalling and reinstalling game and clearing my storage and removing mods, nothing is working. I am using a Mac.
