Did you try reinstalling Origin or repairing the game?
Here's how to uninstall/reinstall Origin.
- Make sure you are in Finder then click Go in the menu bar. Hold down Alt and the hidden Library folder will show up. Click on the Library folder.
- You now need to check in the following folders for any Origin files and folders:
Application Support (Origin)
Caches (Origin, com.ea.Origin)
Preferences (com.ea.Origin.plist)
Saved Application state (com.ea.Origin.savedState)
Open a Finder window and click on your Macintosh HD in the left hand section under Devices (if it's not there click on Finder in the menu bar then Preferences. Select the Sidebar tab and make sure Hard Disks is ticked under Devices), open Library, then delete the Origin folder.
After you've trashed them, empty the trash then restart your Mac. Then redownload and reinstall Origin.
Also try repairing your permissions. You can find this:
Open Disk Utility and Repair Permissions - Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility

Will this get rid of all my progress?

Hi @Siiiimmmmmssss,
Do you mean if following @lyricdagamer's instructions in this post will delete your progress?
In that case, no, don't worry, deleting your CC and options.ini file won't delete your save games. However, it's also a good idea to make a back up of your user files from time to time, and specially before doing manual changes to the files. To make a back up of your user files, you can just copy The Sims 4 folder you will find in Documents \ Electronic Arts to a safe place like a flash drive or your desktop 😉
Let us know if you have any other questions,

Do you have any CC?
if you do, try deleting them.
If you do not have any CC go to Finder.
then click documents,
Sims 4,
and take the File that says "Options.ini"
Take it out and put it on your desktop.
if this doesn't work I am so sorry, I don't know what to tell you.
I'll prey that it fixes. ☹️

Have you tried to move your entire Sims 4 folder to your Desktop and then starting the game? Sometimes outdated Mods/CC can cause the game to not start properly. Once you move the Sims 4 folder to your Desktop, DO NOT DELETE IT! This is where your saved games are stored.
Once you move the folder and then try to start the game, remembering that none of your saves or CC will be present. If you can play, create a new sim and play for about an hour to insure that nothing else happens while playing.
Please note that when either new content is released or a patch comes out, you will need to check your Mod/CC sites to see if they have updated to be compatible with the latest patch/content.
