Hi!
I have kind of the same problem just that I cant even play it for 1 second. I try to open it but then it says it has an error and that i could either ignore it or report it to Apple (which I've also done a lot of times), and i can still not play it.

UPDATE: ok so after doing a little reading I realized it had something to do with my integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics card and how I had customized my graphics settings in game. You can fix this issue by doing this: go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and move your Options.ini file onto your desktop. Your game will recreate a new one.

Have you tried repairing the game in Origin? Do you have any Mods/CC and if so are they compatible with the latest patch?
