11 years agoSims 4 Mac Won't Start
I downloaded the Sims 4 from Origin, have it installed, but every time I try to launch the game it crashes. I've restarted Origin, my computer, etc etc and nothing works. Does anyone know how to fix ...
Please make sure all available OS updates are installed and retry.
its 100% up to date, and i've used disk utilities to clear up my computer, reinstalled origin/sims 4 multiple times.
What version of the Mac OS are you running? Please note that you need at least Lion (10.7) at minimum to run the game. It is best to run the game on Maverick (10.9) or Yosemite (10.10).
I tried this, and I am still having the same issues, everything is entirely up-to-date AND I repaired the game.
Hi @pipipipi900,
Have you played the game before with no issues?
Ive been played 150 or so hours of sims and after this last update it wont open on my macbook and it pops up with some computer jazz binary codes and stuff. my macbook is from 2014 but ive been playing sims on it. i cant update it anymore. What can i do without pending another $1,000 on a new macbook????
Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me in fixing my Sims 4? It won't show up in my game library in Origin and says I need to enter a product code, however, I never actually bought the game, I purchased it when it was free on Origin. Within this, I've included information about my mac, and I've already cleared the cache on origin, restarted it, uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as restarted my computer and nothing has seemed to help.
