Sims 4 Storage

Hi all! I have a Macbook 13 Air and I have been playing the Sims for a few years now while also being a student. Needless to say I have no storage… so much so I haven’t played in months. Am I able to transfer the Sims to an external hard drive? Will it save my gameplay, legacy, and packs? NEED HELP!!!!
