Sims 4 update not working

Hi,

I downloaded the sims 4 digital deluxe edition on my mac the other day. When I went to play it, it said I had to update it as there was an update available. I clicked on "update now" but nothing happened. I have force quit the origin app on my mac and started it up again but still it doesn't do anything. I have restarted my computer and tried to update sims 4 but still nothing has happened. I have selected safe mode in the advanced settings but that doesn't work either!

What is happening?
