Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

I also tried ejecting the hard drive and such, still isn't working.

I made sure my settings were correct on my Mac, I know the symlink doesn't do anything for the game, but it was in one of the recommends to try to connect the folders to see if it would read. Honestly, I don't know if I did it right, nothing showed up after I closed it. I also tried repairing the game, nothing. I have tried every suggestion so far on the forums step by step, multiple times, and have absolutely no clue why it won't start.

    Where was creating the symlink a recommendation? Do you have a link? The symlink is to store the TS4 folder externally due to internal storage space, nothing more.

    Can you provide screenshots showing the permissions allowed in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access and Files & Folders for both the game and Origin.
