Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I open Origin, log in and go to launch Sims 4, and immediately an error pops up and the game doesn't open. The error messages says "Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running".
What happens when the bug occurs? Every time I go to launch the game.
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to launch normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I found an online workaround, but would prefer this issue fixed so I don't have to keep doing this every time I want to play the game.
