I have the a similar issue, but for me this is what it says, I just migrated from Origin to the EA App, and now it says this, I have also tried restarting my MacBook, and still have this issue, it just wont start at all, stating it's already running, when it isn't. I have also looked through my Activity Monitor, just to see if it's telling the truth, but it isn't, sims isn't running at all.
