That's an older model Mac. The current MacBook Airs have the new M1 chip in and play the game well. - gtgirl19995 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@Bluebellflora No it is not it's the 2020 Mac Air they said so on QVC and it says so on the site

The new one has an M1 chip (I have one) - https://www.apple.com/macbook-air/
Retailers are offloading stock of the Intel equipped models at discounted prices because it's not new tech. If it's a MacBook Air you're after, get one with an M1 chip, the game runs much better on it than the Intel MacBook Air. - gtgirl19995 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
Yes it does I screenshooted a question asked on QVC and someone that works for QVC answered the question .Yes it did come out in 2020 it is not a old model .QVC Site and tv said it.Click the picture if you do not believe me
According to the specs that is not the case. Also the other 4 answers state that QVC customer service is wrong.

Well clearly the answer I did came from a QVC worker that would know so you know but whatever I'm not going to argue with you anymore I know that it for Fact a 2020 computer I'm not blind, deaf or stupid thank you and good day.Can anyone else answer my original question besides the person that wants to say I'm wrong when I'm not

Sigh. You said in your first post that you know nothing about Mac. I'm trying to help you make an informed decision and not buy an outdated model Mac which will not play the game as well as the current model with M1 chip.
Yes, Apple brought out a 2020 model MacBook Air with Intel chip back in March. That model is not the current generation MacBook Air - Apple no longer sell it or manufacture it. They now manufacture a MacBook Air with an M1 chip which outperforms the previous model by miles. This is why retailers, like QVC, are offering discounts on the older model. Maybe this page on Apple's website will help - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201862
You asked for help, I'm trying to help you with accurate technical information. Good luck with whatever Mac you buy. This support page from Apple is very helpful for Windows users switching to using Macs https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204216 - gtgirl19995 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
You clearly didn't read the full question I asked if that computer which I am buying would play Sims 4 .You decided to argue with me and tell me that computer was not a 2020 model when it clearly states it is .Do me a favor and do not comment on this post anymore .I want somebody that actually can answer the question to answer it good day to you

Hi, I'm another person who knows some stuff about Macs.

I'm thinking about getting this Mac computer https://www.qvc.com/2020-Apple-MacBook-Air-13%22-Intel-256GB-SSD-with-Bag%2C-Mouse-%26-Headphones.pr... . Keep in mind I do not know anything about Mac I'm currently a windows user . Will this computer play Sims 4
This computer will run Sims 4, but not very well, and not nearly as well as the much cheaper ($999) M1 MacBook Air. Everything @Bluebellflora said is correct.
It's your money, and your choice what to do with it. But if you want decent performance rather than lag and frequent crashes, an M1 Mac is the much better choice.

Not everything that person said is correct that person said it wasn't a 2020 computer when it is .It clearly states it.Anyway I'm clearly deaf, blind and stupid you all can close this post now
