The antivirus program? I am, actually. Does that have something to do with it?
@hankepanky It seems it's currently blocking options from properly saving.
Try adding ts4.exe, ts4_x64.exe and origin as an exception, then try setting the option on and off again.

I have no idea why Avast would mess with the Sims of all things, but you really know your stuff. This fixed it right away. Thank you so much!
