Over the last 2 days I can’t place any objects in my game, this is both in build mode and live mode. For example I can’t use build mode at all to place anything in the world and I can’t place objects such as books or plants from my sims inventory

It’s been on different lots and it’s intermittent. I haven’t had it happen for a few weeks now.
I've had this issue too. It happens intermittently. I'll usually be able to place one item and then all others can't be placed. What's fixed it for me is exiting the game and restarting.
