Can't exit manage households

@AnneSims34  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If this doesn't help, please let me know whether OneDrive is running (even if you never use it), and if so, how full it is.  Please also let me know what antivirus you use, if any.

I was able to start a new save with the sims 4 folder taken out. It's a bit laggy but it's working. And I can exit out of manage worlds. I have one drive but I don't think it's connected or logged in, I get that message about it a lot. And I had MacAfee antivirus but I think it's expired. 

Can I put any of my old saves back in or should I not do that yet? 

@AnneSims34  Yes, please move over one or two of your old saves and let me know whether they have the same problem as before.  If they do, stop there and let me know.  Otherwise, you can add your other saves and test, then add anything else you want to keep as well.  Please move files in batches, testing each time so you know if and when you reintroduce an issue.

Wherever the game has regenerated a file or folder, leave that in place, and only move over the content that doesn't get recreated.  For example, keep the new options.ini, and keep the new saves and Tray folders, only transferring the files inside these folders.
