I have this same problem. I tried the steps, and Origin was still in my program file. I don't have the llama face, it's just a black screen with the music playing. I'm going to call tech support, because I've been ecstatically looking forward to playing this, and now that I have it, all I've been doing is fighting with it for the past two days. Maybe they can help.

on the game,when i start the game it goes straight to a black screen but i can hear the game running just cant see anything
Do you have a llama when you click somewhere ? Did you actually try the solution in the first post ?
