cheat console dont work in windowed mode

does it work if you put the game in fullscreen or windowed-fullscreen mode ?

Do you have any programs running in the back that could be interfering ?

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.51.77.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get Famous,seasons,Cats & Dogs,City Living,Get Together,Get To work,StrangerVille
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? put the game in windowed mode and try to open cheat console Control + Shift + C
What happens when the bug occurs? it just dont ever open
What do you expect to see? i was hopeing it would open but it doesnt
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

pressing the buttons and the console never opens i put it in windowed full screen and it just dont open

I'm merging your posts. It doesn't seem to be a general bug as it works fine for me, so it's best to keep it in tech, especially as you already opened a thread here.

Do you have any programs running in the back ? Did you try without mods installed ?

The cheat bar won't pull up for me either, in any mode (windowed, windowed full screen or full screen), since I just updated.

I re-started the game, ran it as an administrator, tried repairing the game.

I do not have any background programs running that would have affected the cheat bar - and the update is the only thing that has changed on my computer.

All mods are disabled, and my base game and expansions are still not allowing for the cheat bar.

Any help would be great.

How big do you have your window when in windowed ?

I've tried multiple scenarios and it always works for me. Are you sure the window is active when you try the key-combination ?

What kind of PC do you have ? Brand ? Laptop/Desktop ?

I have tried all the different display options. Windowed, full screen, windowed fullscreen, and non of them have worked.

I am using a PC that I built. This is the first time I've ever experienced this issue. 

It was working fine before the last update.

the windowed is the max size like 1,920 x 1.080 its still not working and yes the window is active when i try to open it all it does it keep taking screen shots in the game it wont come up it only comes up in fullscreen or windowed fullscreen

If it's taking screenshots, then there's likely a program running that has the same key combination. It's a bot odd that it works in windowed or full windowed but either the keycombination isn't recognized properly and it thinks you're pressing C or a it's a program interfering.

Have you tried a clean boot ?

If it works in that mode, then it's a background program interfering and you will need to find out which one.

Try the same. If it doesn't work, it might be best to either search for a thread that is about all modes or make your own thread. I'd like to keep this to the windowed one in case it turn out to be a problem for others.

ive done everything repaired the game ect it still dont work in the windowed mode

and ive shut down every program on my computer that is running still the same issue it dont work
