Hello,
I can not start my game. This is the error I get de4ee14f:29f00e76:00000000:4b0d852b. It says I need to delete mods and that my files might be damaged. Problem is: I do not use any Sims mods, at all. I only use whatever was installed via origin: game and extension packs. I tried to repair it via Origin, I also tried to reinstall the game. None of that worked. The game doesn't start.

@Meza_Origin If OneDrive is running on this computer, whether you use it or not, please try pausing syncing before you play. Right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to see the option.
If that doesn't help, please move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use.
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict Thank you for trying to helping me 🙂 . I tried everything that you suggested but I still wasn't able to play or even enter the game.
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict And I don't think that I use an antivirus, but I used to have McAfee (it's still on my pc but I'm not subscribed to it or anything like that).

@Meza_Origin Even if McAfee is probably not interfering, please uninstall it using the company's own removal tool:
https://www.mcafee.com/support/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view
You don't need to activate it if you're never going to use it. Restart your computer after uninstalling and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that. Make it local, as in, don't link it with your Microsoft account. You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user content won't be available. That can be addressed later; for now, just let me know whether the game launches at all.
- RyanFelisCatus7 months agoSeasoned Newcomer@puzzlezaddict I had the same problem as OP but I've moved the Sims 4 folder onto my desktop and was able to play it for a bit. Is there a next step?
- puzzlezaddict7 months agoHero+
@RyanFelisCatus That means that the problem is one or more files in the Sims 4 folder you moved. The next step is to test those files, at least the ones worth keeping. Start with your Mods folder; you can see a list of mods and cc currently known to be broken here:
For anything not on that list, you'll need to test it yourself. The 50/50 method can make going through a long list of files much more efficient.

Once you've done that, you can copy over the contents of saves, Tray (saved households and builds), Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those, plus the UserSetting.ini file (login rewards). The rest can be discarded.
