@puzzlezaddict And I don't think that I use an antivirus, but I used to have McAfee (it's still on my pc but I'm not subscribed to it or anything like that).

@Meza_Origin Even if McAfee is probably not interfering, please uninstall it using the company's own removal tool:

You don't need to activate it if you're never going to use it. Restart your computer after uninstalling and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that. Make it local, as in, don't link it with your Microsoft account. You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user content won't be available. That can be addressed later; for now, just let me know whether the game launches at all.
