swartmel Try disabling the EA App in-game overlay, under Settings > Application.
If that doesn't help, are you playing in fullscreen or windowed mode, and does it make a difference if you switch? Do you have multiple monitors connected, and does it help to disconnect one? I'm not saying you need to play with only one monitor going forward, only that this would be a useful test.
My game is doing this same thing. I just bought this laptop brand new 4 Days ago. Immediately bought the sims to play and it played fine the day of purchase and the day after. But for the last 3 days my brand-new mouse I bought (USB plug in) jumps to the corners of the screen constantly, making playing the game impossible. I tried a different mouse, and it is doing the same thing. I have also done all the same things Swartmel did, and I tried your suggestion above all with no fix.
