I posted before and got no response so I'm trying again...For the last two months, I've been having to deal with this issue of my sound not sounding right. The sims, music, clicking around, etc.Today I spent my whole afternoon uninstalling my game and reinstalling it. I removed my mods and custom content and started it up.But it STILL is sounding like some sort of robot.Example Video <-- here's a video I took and posted to my twitter account.My game is up to date. My origin is up to date. I have no idea what else to do.I play on Windows 10.I have all packs and add ons but the star wars one.All I want to do is play sims 4 again. ☹️

Hello!Maybe try to update your driver? is it only Sims or other games that have weird sounds? if it's in other games as well i think it's you're computer that's the fault for this problem. If it is, try and get information on what's in your computer (specs), such as driver, CPU etc. <3 ( i do NOT work for EA )

My drivers are up to date. My minecraft has had weird noise for a long while. I never knew what caused it to do the same type of noise. But I’ve had other games not have the same issues. My lego games work fine and stuff. ☹️ Ive checked for updates, had my computer scan for any issues and it says things are fine and there’s no issues.

@owlrosie1 Hello! I'm sorry for the late reply, it seems like your CPU is 1.6ghz while the recommended minimum is 1.8ghz for sims. I don't think that should interfere with your sound tho...

Try to troubleshoot your audio/sound device. I could see that your on windows 10 wich makes this easier since i'm also on it. Press the "start" button (the windows flag), go to settings - system - sound. When you're in the "sound" tab you should see the name of your audio/sound device, under there should be a button that says "troubleshoot" or something like that, press it and see if it says anything! <3

I’ve done that and it finds no issues at all. I’ve checked for updates too and everything is updated 🥺 I’ve restarted my computer and it’s also up to date. Could there be anything else?

@owlrosie1 i'm having a similar issue to yours. i can't find any reason why the sims' audio is messing up like this - my new laptop is giving me distorted audio and i've tried literally everything to fix it.

@owlrosie1 Does the same issue occur if you use headphones or earbuds while playing? Please test and let me know whether there's a difference.

@Lova0_sims The minimum requirement for Sims 4 is a 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. In addition to being much slower than newer processors, it's also dual-core. The OP's processor has four cores, and Sims 4 can use up to four cores or threads. So even with a lower base clock speed, this CPU surpasses the minimum requirement.
