Every time I have tried to launch the Sims 4 for the past day, I am met with a page directing me to sign in to my Origin account. I am using the EA App. I have tried logging in with both and it does nothing and when I click the "Open Origin.com" button I am directed to the EA App download screen. It is really frustrating and I do not know what to do.

@chachasbabie Is the EA App itself loading properly, as in, do you see your game library, and Sims 4 listed as an installed game? If not, please uninstall the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and restart your computer before reinstalling the App.
If that doesn't help, or the App is already loading, please clear its cache:

and repair the game: open your App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair. Then try again to play.
I have the same issue and I am installed it happens on sims 4 and sims 2 and it is every other time
