[fixed] How do I remove Sims 4 shortcut from desktop

So I needed to uninstall the Sims 4 to free up some space on my drive (only until I can get an external drive xD), and I went through Origin to do this. However, once it uninstalled, it left the shortcut on my desktop (not the full desktop, just looks like a blank page). I've tried the obvious: dragging it to the recycling bin, clicking delete etc, but it says it can't be found and therefore won't delete.

I've right-clicked and shown file location, but it takes me to the folder where it all the desktop shortcuts are but it's not there.

Any tips on how I might remove the blank shortcut from my desktop?
