from dx 11 to grim event.. Cant play AGAIN

I couldnt play after the last update. Got that solved by going back to dx9 and taking off all lot traits and challenges. Now, since the Grim reaper event started, I once again cant play. I went back in and put the -dx9 argument back in, rebooted, checked lot traits. The game is so slow its impossible to do anything. everything was working fine until the event started.

    @KhmeraMia  Try disabling Online Social Features, in Options > Game Options > Other.  And keep in mind that EA support reps help with games in general; they don't necessarily have expertise in Sims 4 specifically.

    I was told by the EA Support Agent I spoke to that this is something that can only be reported until it's removed from the game. There's no way to opt out or disable the event. It has caused the same issues you mentioned, the lagging, disability of the UI randomly. I've even been able to play continuously, yet couldn't access the calendar, simology panel, literally anything that opened to something else either won't open or completely crashes for no reason. These last few updates have been some of he the most harsh on gameplay.
