miimo_JPG That is strange, and it shouldn't happen since this resource is directly from Microsoft and is less than a year old. What you can try though is installing the runtimes from within the Sims 4 program files, if they're still present. They'd be here:
[install location]\The Sims 4\__Installer\vc
I'm not in front of a Windows PC right now, but if you look there and don't see anything from 2010, you can just run what you do find as long as it's older than 2015. It won't hurt to run an installer for something that's already installed, but the 2015-2019 versions are older than the 2022 version you just installed, so you'd probably get an error.
puzzlezaddict i do have good news I did originally do that but it didn't seem to work so I went back to check on the Visual C++ that didn't want to install and did some digging online to see if I could fix and i did i found that i could most likely fix it by downloading the Install and uninstall program that can trouble shoot and see it could fix it. i ended up doing and at first it did fix something for one of them but it didn't seem to work but i ended up restarting my PC after that process and tried running the sims again and to my surprise its working again!
i haven't fully checked that everything running like normal yet but so far it has gone past the loading screen and it doesn't crash the main menu as well as it runs the create a sim screen. i hope that it keeps running normally thank you for your help 😄
