game refuses to open

hi y'all, i've been trying to boot up my sims 4 off of my ea launcher and it simply. won't open. i've repaired it multiple timers over and the launcher always traces the issue back to the desert luxe kit but afterwards when i try to launch the game itself the launcher tray will disappear as if starting to run the sims before appearing again. i'm stumped- i had just downloaded some more mods before this problem occurred but i'm very sure they weren't downloaded wrong. i don't know what's wrong. any help would be appreciated, thanks :)
