How do I uninstall & reinstall Sims 4 on the EA App safely without loosing packs

So i have the EA app and i really want to uninstall sims 4 safely and reinstall it without loosing all my packs.

I have 9 packs-

Seasons

Laundry Day

Holiday celebration pack ( i believe i got this for free? )

HS Years

Get together

Get to work

get famous

City living

Cats & dogs

Will i loose this if i uninstall and reinstall sims 4 on the EA app? I wasted a ton of money on this and would be very PISSED if i lost this.

My game is currently UNPLAYABLE and i have deleted ALL my cc, etc and even tried to repair it. Please help

EDIT: I also tried to lower graphics, minimize tabs, etc, I have done everything in my power to make my game playable. But right now it doesn't run well and i think it'd be best to uninstall and reinstall since i have NEVER experienced this, even with cc and everything.

  • @imnovaacupcake Your own packs are tied to your account, not the pc. You can freely uninstall and reinstall the packs from your account.

@Exolptic  The question was answered immediately above your post.  That's the correct answer, and there's nothing else to add.

  • Were you able to uninstall/reinstall?? I’ve had the same problems since February and can’t even open my game. Did reinstalling work for you?

@rubyflorence  What problems are you seeing?  Uninstalling and reinstalling can help some of the time, but usually the problem is elsewhere.

    Hello!

I have a problem with updating the game for 2 weeks now. It will not update. It will not repair. I have recovered the EA app. Nothing. I have cleared the cache. Nothing. I don't have a problem with my internet connection. I have plenty of free disk space. I've reinstalled the whole EA app. Nothing. I'm losing hope.

If I uninstall and then install again, will I keep my exclusive items from early purchases?

Even before my first try to update, I purched The newest EP Horse ranch, and it didn't even begin to download.

Please, do you know what could be the problem?

@JiHaeSoo  Anything you own will still be available when you reinstall the game.  And reinstalling might be the easiest approach here.  But if not, if it would take too long, let me know what happens when you try to repair, including a screenshot of any error message you see.

    Hello! @puzzlezaddict

I tried yesterday to update one last time. It didn't work. I've attached a screenshot of the roblem.

So I didn't even bother to try and repair it. I deleted everything, including the EA app. I downloaded everything again.

All is well. The game is up and running. True, I've lost all my progress, but at this point I don't really care about that.

    Thank you for your answer!

they didn't ask "can I?" they asked "HOW?" and that's what I want to know, too. one of my games started updating (and can't because it requires an appallingly unreasonable amount of disk space, so I'm just trying to uninstall so I can reinstall on my SSD) and now there's no option to uninstall. I've tried force quitting EA and reopening it but I'm still stuck in updating limbo. I can't uninstall or even repair the game. will the EA app ever not give me a headache when i try to use it?

@kat211123  The original poster's "how" referred to how can they make sure they don't lose their DLC.  The answer was that they don't need to worry about losing their content because it won't happen.

For your own issue, try using Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) to remove Sims 4, and the EA App while you're at it.  Before starting, rename the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts to something that doesn't include "Sims 4" so Revo doesn't flag it for deletion.
