    @jokatjs  Try downloading the free holiday pack from the EA App, while Sims 4 is not currently installed.  This may add the base game to your EA account, or at least this workaround helps some users.

    You could also remove the game from your Steam library: right-click on the Sims 4 game tile and select Manage > Remove from account.  (I have one report of this working but haven't tested myself.)  Then you should be able to add it to your EA account and play directly through the EA App.

Hey @jokatjs if you own the game through Steam then it's best to launch from the Steam app as that is the platform on which you own the game.
