I switched over to the EA app but I have to download my DLC through steam

Hey, so basically I have the Sims 4 base game, and three expansion packs through steam, and then a couple of the smaller packs through epic games. My game crashed today so I had to uninstall Sims and then reinstall it. My base game and Epic Games packs are fine and have redownloaded, but I can't figure out how to redownload my expansion packs from steam. On the EA app, all it says is that I have to manage those through steam. On steam, there is no install option. Like the packs are owned and it says so both in-game and on steam, but they aren't installed. Does anyone know how to install them?

@xjoce_phantomx Ok I found the fix. In the aforementioned DLC tab under properties, when checking off the DLC under "install", you need to uncheck them and then close out the steam app. Then reopen the steam app and for me they were in my downloads tab. Hope that helps someone else haha!

  • I'm having a similar issue. For me, I have Sims base game through steam, and then three DLC. When I went to download the expansion packs through EA app, it wouldn't let me and just said that I have to manage them on steam, but on steam, I can't find the download option. Or how to download them onto my game. I already own them, but they don't show in the Sims app.

@xjoce_phantomx Also, when I looked on steam at the DLC tab under "properties", all my DLC are checked off under install but they aren't installed. How do I fix this?
  • Also, under "properties" on steam and then the DLC tab, all of the packs are there and checked off under the "install" column. But they aren't installed according to the game. Nor are they in my steam downloads tab.
