Incredibly Slow Load to Main Menu

Sims 4 now takes around 5 minutes (sometimes more) to load to main menu - started with whichever update in July allowed an automatic advertising/promotional pop-up to open upon loading, but even when no pop-up appears, the load is still this long. Since the late July (21st? 23rd? I can't remember) update, the game itself has also been slower/more prone to lagging. Overall, much worse experience. I suspect the supposed recent 'Memory Boost' meddling, or the new autosave options.

Additionally, the autosave features are atrocious: I need a way to delete the autosaves the game makes. I've tried turning all the settings off but unusual 'Slot_ffffffff' files are still appearing in my save folder that didn't ever exist before this was an option AND there's no way to delete the clutter of the autosaves in the main load menu in game that it initially made automatically before I changed the settings.

I don't use mods, barely cc, and have tested with a completely blank slate multiple times besides. The slow load is a problem every time now. It's the game.

    For the autosaves, can you delete them from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves, and if so, do they return while you're playing, or do they return even if you don't open the game?  In the latter case, OneDrive may be syncing your files and redownloading anything you delete.  You can see whether OneDrive is able to interfere by right-clicking the folder and selecting Properties > General, then looking at the Location.  If it's inside OneDrive, let me know whether you'd like to stop syncing or get rid of it or something else entirely.

    If the game is creating new auto-saves even after you've disabled the option, have you disabled it for every save?  I think at least some options are specific to each save.

    Mee too, its almost 10 min to get to the main menu, but after the game loads are faster. Is there a way to boost the start to main menu ?
