Infinite load screen after May 28, 2024 update

I have the exact same problem. The game was updated over night. I can start a game and it enters the first household but if I go back to the neighborhood and try to enter a build I am doing it just loops at the load screen. Same if I try to add a lot from my gallery. It just hangs on the building screen. I’ve tried removing mods, new save and placing other lots but no luck. The game is unplayable. 

@SnarkyWitch and @thomasroslin  Does this happen in a new save as well?  Please test for comparison's sake and let me know.

Additionally, a couple of players have reported that they needed to disable Edge Smoothing in the game options.  If you can't get that far, you can instead edit Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, to set edgesmoothing to 0 (zero).

If neither of these helps, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Hello.

This happends even with a new save. When I try to place a lot I have been working on for two weeks the game just hangs, if I build a new lot and then exit and try to go into it the game also hangs. I have tried both with and without mods, the CC i use for the lot are all tested and working. Even if I try to install a lot without any CC and an empty mods folder it still hangs at the load screen.

I have attached my dxdiag file if that can be any help. I have tried both directX 9 and the new command for directX 11.

Hi, thank you for the help, unfortunately it it didn't work for me ☹️ I'm desperate. I can't open my favorite household since the update. I've tried everything (removing mod scripts, CC) I've tried returning old backups and nothing works. Can someone help me? 

@thomasroslin and @CaseyLynch7  If you have any files in ConfigOverride, please delete them and try again to play.

Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, ia clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

hi i've been experiencing this issue for I don't know how long, like since the beginning of the year. I've tried every fix that anyone has mentioned including re-downloading the game (which takes forever) and I still get stuck at this loading scene no matter what. the only thing that shows up is a last exception error and I was wondering if someone more savvy than me can make sense of it.

@SunRaye29  Did you try emptying ConfigOverride, as mentioned above?
