Infinite Load Screen When Choosing Resume/Load Game

I've tried everything I can think of. I messed with the game so much that it assumed I was a new player and started up the tutorial feature again. I'm restarting my whole game fresh so this wasn't anything more than a minor annoyance. Still, I'm unable to load a save.

I can make new ones and despite the long load, it does, in fact, load. So what's up?? It was working fine hours ago...

It can't be my mods because I tested it without the mods. No dice.

  • NomadSage811  Are you adding anything to the save from the Gallery or your own library?  If so, please test without doing that.  You might have corrupt sims or a build that doesn't work anymore, even if the content was fine until recently.  Please do test this without your Mods folder, if you haven't already.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I purged all my saves for personal reasons, so I'm unable to do what was suggested. If I make a new save, I can play on it, but when I quit and try to reload, it will be on an infinite load screen.

  • NomadSage811 lnichols07  Can you load a different, previously-unplayed household within the same save?  And to be clear, if you create a new save, play for a bit, save your progress, quit, and reload, can you load the sims you just created in that save?

  • Having the same issue, I've tried everything hope its resolved soon.
