Initialization error at startup

Every time I try to run TS4, I get a white screen which then crashes to the following error code:

Unable to start:

Initialization error at start up.

[135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b26003]

I have tried everything I can find to make it run, including completely removing origin (the hard way) and ts4, running ccleaner, and reinstalling, updating graphics drivers, running in windowed mode, setting firewall and antivirus exceptions, disabling origin overlay, running as admin and also in compatability mode, and flushing dns, but nothing has worked. The only thing that has changed since the last time I ran it successfully is a couple origin updates! I have been trying to fix it for two days now, and I need help!

I got it running! Not sure how, but here's what we did.

I uninstalled the game. Then, I did a clean boot after power cycling the router and modem. Created new admin account, and reinstalled the game. It ran. It still ran when I took it out of clean boot, but didn't run on original admin account. I was very confused at this point as they were running the same processes and services. My husband had the idea that I should reset my Nvidia settings to optimized as I couldn't get it out of windowed mode (I put it in windowed mode as a troubleshooting step, after the problem began.) Et Voilà! Now it works on my old account as well. I had tried optimized setting before, so basically I'm still entirely clueless what happened and what exactly fixed it, but I am overjoyed to have my game back. Thank you so much to both of you for assisting me!

  • I really appreciate you trying to help. EA Advisor gave me something to try, so I'm going to try the uninstall, powercycling modem, clean boot, new admin account, and reinstall that they suggested and will update if it works.

  • I already had everything on the C drive, unfortunately. I finally got it to run after doing what the EA Advisor instructed, so I'm going to do some experimentation to see if I can find out exactly what start-up program is blocking the thing or if it had something to do with our router/modem that cleared up when we powercycled (and also ran an update).

  • So basically I had this problem too! All I had to do was uninstall the game off origin (don’t worry about packs they will come back with the game). Then I had to restart my computer and that it! (I have a windows)

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.
