SimObsessions This error is from the DirectX 9 version of Sims 4. Please switch back to DX11 mode for now, since it should work without any major issues.
If you get another crash in DX11 mode, please post a new dxdiag. I'd also like to see the results of some hardware monitoring. The last time I tried to describe how to do it in a reply, this site ate my post, so I'll just link instructions I posted elsewhere:

SimObsessions There should be a check box in the graphics settings, to the right of post processing. If you don't see it, make sure you haven't forced DX9 mode within the EA App. Open your game library, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and if -dx9 is in the command line box, delete it. Then the game should automatically use DX11 mode, and you should see the option to use DX9 mode in the graphcis settings.
You can always see which mode you're using in the lower-right corner of the Main Menu, to the right of the game version number.
I do not see a check box in graphics settings, but I also do not know how or where to find it. I'm not sure what "post processing" is either. I tried to open my game library, clicks Sims 4 > Manage > View Properties.. I have attached a screenshot of my properties.
