Need Help W/ Sims 4 Save/Mod Issue (Unclickable Sims & Endless Troubleshooting)

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with a persistent issue in The Sims 4 and I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's causing it.

Main problem:

Sims become completely unclickable in Live Mode.

Clicking on a Sim does absolutely nothing (no pie menu appears).

I can still interact with some objects, such as beds, and direct Sims through object interactions.

At one point I could even get Sims to cuddle by clicking the bed, but clicking the Sims themselves still did nothing.

What I've already tried:

Removed all mods and CC.

Deleted localthumbcache.package.

Updated major mods.

Used Better Exceptions.

Used Mod Importer.

Tested with only CAS CC.

Tested with only Build/Buy CC.

Removed mods from creators including Pandasama, KiaraSims, AdeepIndigo, and Lumpinou.

Moved my Mods folder out and back in.

Repaired the game.

Checked for duplicate CC.

Additional information:

Better Exceptions reports no broken or outdated mods.

Most recent errors seem to reference definition_manager, build_buy.py, and household inventory loading.

I've also seen references to object_exists_in_household_inventory and build/buy session errors.

Earlier I had an endless loading screen issue but eventually discovered that the "Show Mods at Startup" setting was causing part of that problem after my game settings changed.

The game has had issues since moving files around while dealing with OneDrive.

Starting a new save still gave the same results.

Questions:

Has anyone seen Sims become completely unclickable while object interactions still work?

Could this be a corrupted save rather than a mod issue?

Are there any tools that can identify corrupted objects or household inventory items inside a save?

Has anyone experienced household inventory corruption causing Sims to become unclickable?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've put a lot of work into this save and would love to recover it if possible.
