none of my cc or mods are working after factory reset

So whenever Get Famous came out, the wardrobe interaction never worked. So I decided to look up the problem. I followed a rule about resetting my files by factory reset, and I am pretty sure I did it wrong. However, my mods and cc are not working anymore. I tried reinstalling the game and repairing it too. Nothing still. I feel like I deleted some files that weren't meant to be deleted, and I have no way of repairing it because I do not have the files. Please help.

The new game folder what you created while doing the factory reset has all the files what it needs. If you removed something unnecessarily, when you turn on the game, it will always be created again by the game.

Check only if you have not put in it two times the same files or folder

Check if you have scripts mods enabled in the game options.

If you've pasted the whole old mods folder into the game folder, move it to the desktop and turn on the game to create a new one.
Then copy from desktop and paste into this new mods folder one mod which you are sure has the last version and it should work.
Check if it will show up in the game.
Then copy and paste all scripts mods one by one, checking if they are working. Do the same with CC, but if you have a lot of them, use the 50/50 method.

  • Thank you so much! It was my mods folder that was outdated. You are a lifesaver! I'm so happy.
