My problem is that after today's update my game doesn't run. So I don't know if I have any other issues. I put apart my cc / mods before updating. I played in English for some time, though in September I had to change into Spanish due to an update that didn't allow me to play in English. I've paid a lot of money for this game and I can't even play it.
Maybe you need to repair the game without the mods or reinstall it.
Make sure to delete cache when repairing cause they can hold old mods stuff

how do you delete cache?
Delete this file:
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\localthumbcache.package
It will be recreated next time you run the game.
