Options Resetting

i do not know if this is the proper place to complain about this, but...

when i play the game Sims 4, i go into GAME OPTIONS, and select GAMEPLAY, set AutoAge to NO, and Lifespan to LONG

i then apply changes, and it looks fine.

I go into the game, and play.

i go back into GAME OPTIONS , and GAMEPLAY, and lo and behold, the defaults for AutoAge and Lifespan have been RESET!

This is very annoying, i have had a sym mysteriously die because he grew old - which he was not supposed to do!

I have tested this online and offline mode, and it is always the same, the 'saved' configuration always reverts back to the default.

Please tell me how to fix this issue - i am very upset that this seemingly simple thing should fail.
