Is there a way to uninstall the Outdoor Retreat pack and then reinstall it? I'm curious if doing that will help fix the issue. Also, from the other post I found about the same issue, someone was told to "try renaming the user folder" to fix the issue and that worked for them. Do you know which folder they are referring to?

The folder in documents.
If they didn't put their saves back and started a new save, it probably did solve the issue, just like for you. I doubt it did on the corrupted save.
I also don't think that reinstalling OR would help or I would not have been able to dupe the issue but you can try at your own risk
Go to this folder: programs\origingames\thesims4 (path may vary) and delete the folder GP01. There's also a folder called delta that also contains a folder GP01. Also delete that one. Make sure the game is not running while you do that and backup all files in documents\electronicarts\thesims4 before doing so.
Then Origin will prompt you to reinstall the pack or just do it itself.
