Placing lots in Newcrest

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.52.100.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for Island Living, Laundry Stuff, My First Pet Stuff and Toddler Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the Newcrest map and place houses on each of the lots. Doesn't matter if these are venues, residential or whatever. Just grab a lot from either the gallery or from your own personal tray and place the lot using the Manage Worlds view.
What happens when the bug occurs? Once you have finished placing lots, enter a household in any neighbourhood you are playing in play mode and try to edit their lot. IF YOU HAVE NOT EXITED THE GAME AND RESTARTED it will be impossible to enter buy/build mode. If you go into the manage world view and try to edit the lot, a broken room view window appears stating its for a room 999,999,999 simoleons is available with the name Signature Queen Anne Livingroom. If you go back into your saved game after this appears, you can then edit your lot.
What do you expect to see? I would like to actually edit the lot I am playing without going through a lot of nonsense to clear this error. This problem occurs regardless of playing a game with or without mods, on a new save or on an existing save. If any attempt is made to edit a lot in play mode immediately after filling all the Newcrest lots, this problem occurs. This has been tested on and occured on two different computers, one a first gen i5 with 6 GB ram and GTX 750 1 GB card, the second a Ryzen 7 2700 with an AMD RX 580X 8 GB video card and a reinstalled game. The lot below picked was the one I was playing but it really makes no difference as to the lot.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Just grab lots from either the gallery or from your own personal tray and place the lots using the Manage Worlds view. It also makes no difference with or without MODS and has happened since the introduction of Newcrest, I just hadn't posted about it as I thought by now somebody on the design team would have caught it.

Guess What! I just had it happen again! I started a new game, I put Streamlet Single from the gallery on my computer into Civic Cliffs and Crick Cabana also from my gallery into Cookout Lookout and went into my save, tried to edit the lot, couldn't so I went into Manage worlds and there she was, the dreaded Signature Queen Anne Living Room. Now I do have my mods back so I have some hunting to do. Either I just got Lucky the other day with no mods or one of my mods has this broken room embedded.

I'm thinking it has to be an older yet still functioning mod because I've had this issue a long time and most of the script mods have been updated. I'll keep you updated as to how it goes. I have put in some other lots as well in Newcrest but I made those all from scratch to make sure nothing came with a newly downloaded lot. I'm sure Streamlet SIngle and Crick Cabana are not the source as they were installed by Maxis with the game.

I'm sad, and in a way glad, I found the mod. It starts with M and a lot of people use it, I will go to their site and inform them of my findings. I have no doubt, as running the game with no mods has no problems and with only this one mod, the problem returns. I tried it several times and every time the problem recurs with just this mod in game.

It would be helpful to know which mod unless it breaks the game's rating.

The only popular mod I know that starts with M is MC Command Center and it's extremely hard for me to believe that would cause your problem. I've been playing with that mod since a few months after it first was released, something like four years ago, and I've never had that happen to me.

Apparently nobody else is getting this issue so I guess it's due to something weird on my end. It's fine, I am giving up on this, it's not a game breaker, just something annoying that's been going on for a long time with no solution in sight. Maybe it's a conflict between mods or something else, All I know is that when testing, with the mod it did it, consistently and without it, it didn't. I was hoping that by posting, I might get a better idea and certainly that broken room is a bit of a concern, where is it coming from?

@Ethyrdude I'm going to move this to tech for further troubleshooting.

I don't have time to read all but seems it's mod related ?

Yeah,it's mod related. It seems to be caused by a conflict of mods so it will be tough to find. As there are no actual (LEs or UIEs) errors generated, troubleshooting will be almost impossible.

    @Ethyrdude Sounds like it.

Easiest would probably to find someone else with this issue and compare mods.

Maybe the mod conflict detector can give some indication although if it's script mods, I wouldn't be too hopeful. Doesn't hurt to try though
