Potion and vamp glitches

Having an issue with alchemy. My spellcaster is maxed out, has all of the traits and every time she crafts a potion it fails. It doesn't seem to matter what familiar I have or what cauldron I use. Also the vamps are having a bit of a glitch. They constantly change into bat/mist form to where they just kept changing back and forth in one spot, it messes up their interactions. so I had to disable it. Also there's a weird glitch where random puddles show up in my house. Regular puddles not the goo stuff that the sprites leave behind or whatever.
